Setting-up an Outlook.com, Live.com or Hotmail.com Account

In this Video I'll setup an Outlook.com Email Account manually using Android's default Email Client. Manually, just means entering all the Information to enable the Eamil Client to access the Account. That Information will consist of the Account Name, the Email Servers and the Protocols.

Open the Email App, drop-down the Menu (select\click) "Settings", then (select\click) "Add Account". That will bring-up the Setup Dialog for a new Account. The very first Thing that will need to be entered is the actual Email Address of the Account that is being setup. For Microsoft Accounts the entire Email Address will be required. The Syntax for that would be: user@outlook.com.

(select\click) "Manual Setup" and then the Type of Account (main Protocol). In this Case the Type is IMAP. Then enter the Password for the Account\Email Address. (select\click) the "Next" Arrow\Button or move-on to the Server Setting for the Client Software.

The Incoming Server Settings for a Microsoft IMAP Account are as follows:
UserName - "user@outlook.com" (full email address)
Password - (the Password for the Account)
Server - "imap.outlook.com", "outlook.office365.com" or "imap-mail.outlook.com"
Security Type - "SSL\TLS" or "TLS"
Port - "993"

(select\click) the "Next" Arrow\Button.

The Outgoing Server Settings for a Microsoft IMAP Account are as follows:
Server - "smtp.outlook.com", "smtp.office365.com" or "smtp-mail.outlook.com"
Security Type - "STARTTLS"
Port - "587"
(select\check) - "Require Signin"
UserName - "user@outlook.com" (full email address)
Password - (the Password for the Account)

(select\click) the "Next" Arrow\Button.

Then set the Account Options. These will include such Things as Checking Frequency, Notification Settings and Sync Settings.

(select\click) the "Next" Arrow\Button.

Designate the Name for the Account that will be shown in the App and the Name that will be shown to Recipients as the Sender of the Message.

(select\click) the "Next" Arrow\Button.

Test the Settings\Account by sending an Email to the Account that was setup. That should test both Outgoing and Incoming Capabilities. In short, send an Email to Yourself.

Requirements :
An Outlook.com, Live.com or Hotmail.com Account and an installed Email Client
